2024 Mercedes-EQ EQB: What’s New
The EQB small electric SUV scores its inaugural midcycle refresh for 2024. Exterior styling changes include a redesigned front bumper and rear lower apron, a new grille-aping front panel covered by a raised star pattern, and different taillights. The ute also receives four new wheel designs—one set each of 18s and 20s and two sets of 19s—and its charging flap can now be unlocked by pressing an icon on the vehicle’s touchscreen.
Regarding that infotainment interface, it receives the latest version of Mercedes’ MBUX software, now with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In front of the central display, a new center console comes without a hand rest or touchpad. Elsewhere on the dash, this Mercedes SUV gains a new steering wheel. Dolby Atmos comes with the available 12-speaker Burmester sound system, which now also unlocks up to four new optional Sound Experience soundscapes.
A new mono-multipurpose camera and backup camera improve driver assist systems. Range monitoring delivers suggestions on how to save energy. Finally, new Plug & Charge capability allows charging to start automatically without the need for additional authentication when plugged in to a compatible charger.

2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe: What’s New
The GLC Coupe has been redesigned this year, following the SUV model that was updated for 2023. It’s bigger than before, offering improved cargo space. It’s also standard with AMG Line package enhancements that bring some sporty flavor to the exterior. With the base 2.0-liter turbo-four mild hybrid, output is pegged at 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. AMG Coupe trims include the 416-hp GLC43 and 671-hp GLC63 S E Performance.
The new GLC Coupe’s cabin features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with next-gen MBUX. One cool feature the software unlocks is an available see-through hood, which takes advantage of the 360-degree camera to make the hood seem transparent. An upgraded steering wheel, wireless phone charger, and Burmester audio are now standard.

2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV: What’s New
With a combined output rated at 381 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, the GLE450e plug-in hybrid joins the lineup. It makes power with a 2.0-liter turbo-four and integrated starter-generator. Every other GLE is now a mild hybrid, too. New parking sensors help guide the Mercedes SUV, as does a new Trailer Maneuvering Assist. The feature takes over steering when you’re trying to back up a trailer with the GLE and can also guide that SUV and trailer around turns of up to 90 degrees.
The 2024 GLE SUV gets a new front bumper, new taillights, and new available puddle light. Exterior color updates include Twilight Blue Metallic and Manufaktur Alpine Grey. There are also three new 19- and 20-inch wheels, as well as new 21s and 22s for the GLE with available AMG Line equipment.
A new steering wheel with touch controls and updated infotainment with the next generation of MBUX software are standard. Available interior personalization includes chrome trim from the Maybach GLS, Manufaktur Black Piano Lacquer Flowing Lines wood trim, and Catalana Beige/Black and Bahia Brown/Black interior colorways. Dolby Atmos and two USB ports in the rear armrest are also new options.

2024 Mercedes-EQ EQE: What’s New
New for 2023, the EQE SUV lineup scores an AMG variant for this year. The top model packs a dual-motor electric powertrain that makes 493 hp in Comfort mode, 555 hp in Sport mode, and 617 hp in Sport+ mode. With the AMG Dynamic Plus package, output grows to 677 hp for short bursts in Race Start launch mode. Our test team whipped one to 60 mph in a neck-breaking 3.1 seconds.
Of course, the penalty for all that power is less range than every other 2024 EQE SUV. It can recharge at speeds up to 170 kW, which is only OK, and the EPA rates the 2024 AMG EQE SUV for 235 miles on a full charge. That’s less than the EQE350 SUV AWD’s 280 miles, and the other models go even farther.
