Another overly old-school feeling three-row SUV is the 2024 Nissan Armada. Long due for a refresh, there are still some upsides to the occasionally clunky Armada. The 5.6-liter V-8 makes 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, feeling understressed and simple compared to the turbocharged smaller-displacement engines now replacing many V-8s. The suspension is downright plush, but for a price upwards of $60,000, only the higher-end models get truly good interior materials. The third row is better sized for children, while attempting to take corners in the Armada has a similar feel to guiding an actual armada of ships through narrow straights.

7. 2024 Infiniti QX80| 210.2 Inches
As the classy sibling to the Nissan Armada, the 2024 Infiniti QX80 shares most of its pros and cons. With a good engine, an 8,500-pound tow rating (the very same as the Armada), and good interior materials, it does rank in the three-row SUV hierarchy … just not very high. Like the Armada, the QX80 is in dire need of a refresh, as its now decade-old bones can’t come close to the new metal at the top of the class. Compared to similarly priced SUV rivals, the QX80 can be more tiring to drive, offers less space, and doesn’t compete on overall refinement.
