As 2024 draws to a close, automakers across the globe are working to launch next year’s models to try to capture the hearts and minds of consumers. Based on what we know, we’ve assembled a list of 10 of our most highly anticipated vehicles so far. For now, some remain as concept vehicles, and we expect production versions to debut soon for the 2025 and 2026 model years.
Almost every vehicle on this list is electrified, whether in hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or full battery electric form. It’s a fluid time in the industry, and the intersection of supply, demand, and regulatory requirements for electric cars may lead to real-time changes to what’s in each automaker’s pipeline.
10. Honda Prelude

As one of Honda’s most celebrated models from the 1970s into the 2000s, the Prelude nameplate will return and carry the torch for the discontinued Civic and Accord coupes. It will likely get a version of Honda’s 2.0L four-cylinder hybrid powertrain with front-wheel drive, though all-wheel drive from the parts bin can’t be ruled out, too. Like the Preludes of decades gone by, it’ll likely slot into the lineup as a slightly premium sporty coupe and won’t necessarily get the fire-breathing performance of models like the Civic Type R. With elegant styling and mass appeal, it’ll be a welcome injection of flair for Honda.
9. Jaguar EV Sedan

In mid-November, Jaguar showed heavily camouflaged photos of a future electric grand touring sedan just before launching its radically different corporate rebranding. This sedan is not to be confused with the Type 00 concepts unveiled earlier this month and is likely to be closer to production than the pink and blue renderings. While the new branding seems like a big departure, the new sedan appears to maintain traditional Jaguar proportions, including a long hood and a sleek side profile. Jaguar is ending the production of existing internal combustion engine cars before embarking on its future as a fully electric automaker.
8. Hyundai N Vision 74

The Hyundai N Vision 74 is as cool as it gets. It’s a production-ready car that draws heavy influence from the Pony Coupe concept and is as much a throwback as it is a look to the future. As a hydrogen fuel cell and electric motor hybrid, it’s the wildest N product from the Korean automaker’s performance division. With over 670 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque on tap, it goes full tilt with motorsports intent inside and out. While it won’t be produced in high volume, expect the N Vision 74 to be Hyundai’s pinnacle halo car for years to come.
7. Ram Rampage

After the unbridled success of the Ford Maverick, it’s no surprise that Ram wants in on a piece of the unibody truck pie. Even better, it already has the Rampage compact pickup that’s currently sold in Brazil. It features a shrunken-down version of the Ram 1500’s bravado and is built on the same platform as the Alfa Romeo Tonale, Dodge Hornet, and Jeep Compass. We can expect to see turbocharged four-cylinder powertrains and payload capacity hovering in and around 1,500 lbs. Plug-in hybrid variants pulled from the Alfa and Dodge may also be possible.
6. BMW Vision Neue Klasse EV

With the Vision Neue Klasse line of vehicles, BMW is re-envisioning its product philosophy from cradle to grave, as it aims to reduce its environmental footprint from development, to use, to end-of-life recycling. Compared to the big buck tooth grilles on BMWs today, a cleaner and more timeless design is the name of the game with Neue Klasse. Like BMW’s now-classic designs from the 1990s and earlier, low sills and airy greenhouses pair with simple yet impactful lines that do more with less, and yes, the trademark “Hofmeister kink” design feature in the rear pillar is alive and well. Inside, expect to see the latest in iDrive technology, and SUV variants have also been teased with the Neue Klasse X concept. Production is expected to start sometime in 2025.
