In 1959, Argentinian racing driver and entrepreneur Alejandro de Tomaso established De Tomaso Automobili in Italy with one goal: to build some of the best Italian sports cars. De Tomaso combined Italian design with American performance as it mostly relied on Ford engines, and this strategy led to the development of sports cars like the Mangusta and Pantera. However, the company has never been stable and has gone out of business several times throughout its history.
In 2014, a Hong Kong-based company bought the rights to use the De Tomaso name and immediately started working on a sports car. Dubbed the P72, this incredible sports car has one of the most beautiful designs and shares its mechanical underpinnings with the Apollo Intensa Emozione. After working for top companies like BMW and Aston Martin for years, renowned automotive designer Henrik Fisker decided to build his own cars and established Fisker Automotive in the 2000s. Determined to follow his dreams, Fisker rolled up his sleeves and established Fisker Inc. in 2016 to build electric cars, and it has been fairly successful.
Fisker’s first and only production car is known as the Ocean – an electric mid-size crossover SUV that’s been in production since 2022. Fisker has already delivered a handful of Oceans to US customers and plans to deliver a lot more in 2024.

If you’re a fan of Ferrari (who isn’t?), you’ve probably heard of Pininfarina – a design and coachbuilding company that has created some of the most beautiful Ferraris ever. In 2015, Mahindra Group bought the rights to the Pininfarina name and established Automobili Pininfarina three years later intending to build Pininfarina-badged supercars.
Pininfarina unveiled its first production car – the Battista – in 2019 and left everyone in awe. The Battista shares its mechanical underpinnings with the Rimac Nevera but has a unique design showcasing Pininfarina’s style. Production of the Battista kicked off in 2022, with a total of 150 examples equally allocated to buyers from Europe, North America, Asia, and the

James Glickenhaus is an American automotive collector and entrepreneur known for owning some of the rarest and fastest supercars in the world – including the awe-inspiring Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina.
