2022–2023 BMW X3 – Compact Luxury SUV
Pros: Every variant is quick and sporty, offering an engaging and direct driving experience that is generally also refined and undemanding. The X3’s cargo hold is spacious, and tech appointments include large standard 10.3-inch and available 12.3-inch infotainment displays. The 2023 BMW X3 features standard hands-free keyless entry not offered on the 2022 model.
Cons: Interior styling is largely forgettable. Ride stiffness is brutal on the X3 M. At moderate speeds, the performance model’s transmission can be a little jerky, too.

2023 Genesis GV70 – Compact Luxury SUV
Pros: Nimble handling and a strong available V-6 engine help make the Genesis GV70 one of the best used luxury SUVs. Every GV70 is beautifully styled, inside and out, and cabin materials are enchanting. A crisp 14.5-inch central infotainment touchscreen is standard. The GV70 is an excellent feature-per-dollar value, one reason we named it our 2022 SUV of the Year.
Cons: Fuel economy with either powertrain could stand improvement. The GV70’s brakes are a little grabby, as well, and some driver assist features are exclusive to higher trim levels.

2022–2023 Genesis GV80 – Midsize Luxury SUV
Pros: A distinctly Genesis interior boasts exquisite materials, creative styling, and a roomy layout. There’s plenty of tech inside the GV80, including an eye-catching 14.5-inch touchscreen. Great safety ratings sweeten the deal.
Cons: Ride quality feels brittle for a luxury vehicle. Both GV80 powertrains are a bit coarse, while the base turbo-four sometimes feels like it doesn’t make enough grunt for such a large SUV.
