2022 Infiniti QX60
Pros: How is the QX60 two of the best used three-row SUVs? Infiniti fully redesigned its family hauler for 2022, and we consider it a different vehicle. The new model looks (much) better, has more modern tech including smartphone mirroring, and retains its predecessor’s easy-access third row.
Cons: The 2022 model still suffers from excessive body roll, and although the new transmission is better, it can’t hide the V-6’s lack of low-end torque. We’ve also found the invasive traction control system too eager to cut power in deep sand or snow. Because this is a next-gen model, you’ll pay a lot more than you would for a 2020 QX60, too.

2020-2022 Subaru Ascent
Pros: If we had to name one vehicle as the best used three-row SUV, it would likely bethe Subaru Ascent. Just like the Pilot defeated the Highlander, the Ascent toppled the Pilot in a comparison test with its functional cabin, comfy ride, and torque-rich turbocharged engine. You’ll find it’s more affordable than the Honda or Toyota, too, and AWD is standard.
Cons: The third row will feel cramped for all but small children (as is the case for most vehicles on this list) and we find the styling a bit frumpy. Also, Subaru’s EyeSight driver assists can be a little heavy on the beeps.

2020-2022 Toyota Highlander
Pros: The Toyota Highlander is the only three-row represented here that achieves both mostly Excellent value ratings and a Great reliability score, alongside Top Safety Pick+ designation for 2021 and 2022 models that add improved driver assists. Only the Explorer also offers a hybrid, but Toyota’s is way more efficient.
Cons: Floaty, bouncy ride quality saps any driving enjoyment. The hybrid will feel underpowered and unrefined to some, too. The Highlander is a practical pick, but it lacks personality.
